Russia's main contributor to its GDP comes from its manufacturing. As stated before, the income from agriculture amounts to little to nothing. Russia also depends heavily on natural resources. They have a bountiful supply of coal, oil, and natural gases which is heavily demanded throughout the rest of the world. Their GDP is also affected by exports, as Russia exports a lot of their oil and fuel to countries who need them. Russia's economy is mainly supported by the workers in the factories. This is why during the depression, many people were out of work and most of the factories shut down. Now, Russia is producing more and having more workers produce. The workers produce more which brings up the GDP, but also they spend more, which also brings up the GDP. In this way, Russia can boost up its GDP by maintaining the workers in its factories. As seen below, the wages for workers are very good, enabling the workers to spend more.
